The life of pioneering what God is doing in a new context or leading a team to establish a new church community is one of the most challenging roles within Christian ministry today. This is a unique opportunity for church pioneers and planters to take time out in an environment of peace, faith and stunning countryside and to share and reflect with others with a similar calling. Times of corporate worship, teaching and prayer, plus opportunities to pray and seek God’s word and plans for yourself, will provide the vital time necessary to renew yourself in the Lord’s love and give attention to your soul. The week is hosted jointly by the Lee Abbey team and The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX), with experienced leaders and planters such as John McGinley giving input.
Who's speaking?
JOHN MCGINLEY
After 25 years of ordained church leadership in which he had overseen church planting and evangelism in three different churches, John felt called to form Myriad as part of the work of The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX). Myriad has a vision to see the formation of thousands of small church communities each led by everyday people in places where God has placed them. He is also the author of a number of books including 'The Church of Tomorrow: Being a Christ Centred People in a Changing World'. This has been received as a prophetic call revealing the reforming work God is doing with his church at this time. John is married to Bridget and they have two grown up daughters. They live in a village north of London where they are refurbishing a house and planting a church.
