Lee Abbey Devon welcomes people and serves churches with the vision of people encountering Jesus Christ so that lives, relationships, communities and environment are transformed. It is run by a Christian community from many nations.
Do you want to be part of a community of Christians from many nations around the world, who encourage each other to put Christ at the centre and to live out the gospel in down-to-earth ways? Being on Community is about living, working, serving and worshipping closely together, being open to being known for who we are. It’s challenging but great fun too, and if you let it, it can be life-changing.
On a summer break or between jobs? We are also looking for summer workers who can volunteer for 3 to 6 months in the Tea Cottage or as part of our Kitchen or House Team. You would need to be a British citizen or have the right to work in the UK.

Lee Abbey gave me an experience that truly changed my life, both personally and spiritually. Spending a year there helped me grow closer to God and strengthened my faith in a really meaningful way. In our community routine, the Christian activities played a very important role in that. Everything contributed to my spiritual growth.

Since my return to the United States, I have wholeheartedly encouraged other Christians to consider growing their faith by spending a year at Lee Abbey. I would not be the same person without it.

We are looking for people with a personal faith in Christ and a desire to deepen that faith by surrendering more of their lives to Him. You need to be prepared to give of yourself to our guests and fellow Community members. Fitness, health and energy are pretty essential too!
