You’ll be well catered for at Lee Abbey, with three home-cooked meals a day and plenty of tea, coffee and cake in between – all included in the price.
Guests and Community eat together in the Dining Room. Occasionally meal times vary, but usually we serve meals at:
- Breakfast: 8.15 – 9.00 am (self-service)
- Lunch: 1.00 pm
- Dinner: 6.30 pm (7.00 pm on Fridays)
“Fantastic wholesome food!”
Tea and coffee is served mid-morning and mid-afternoon (with cake), and if you’d like to make a cuppa at any other time, there are tea and coffee making facilities for guests on each floor.
Special diets and allergies
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and any medically essential diets. Please tell us your needs when you book, so that we can plan accordingly.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All our food is stored and prepared in an area which contains major allergens, including celery; cereals containing gluten – including wheat, rye, barley and oats; eggs; fish and shellfish; lupin; milk; mustard; tree nuts – including almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts; peanuts; sesame seeds; soybeans; sulphur dioxide and sulphites. If you inform us of a specific food allergy or intolerance, we will do our best to ensure contamination does not occur. But we can’t guarantee that food prepared in this area is completely allergen-free. If you have any questions, please ask to speak to one of our kitchen supervisors. Thank you!
Some programmes include a candle-lit or themed dinner for which you can dress up if you wish. But don’t worry if you haven’t brought your fancy clothes – dressing up is entirely optional.
Earlier evening meals can be provided for our younger guests during certain holiday weeks, and may be possible at other times. Please ask about this when booking or on arrival.
