Fees
The quoted base prices in the programme are per person, full board for the full conference or holiday. All fees are subject to change. Prices include VAT where applicable. If the VAT rate changes, we reserve the right to alter our prices to reflect that change.
Other discounts available
Discounts for ministers, students, mission partners, lone parents and full time carers apply only if you ask for them above. They apply to UK residents only, for one visit per year (except ordained ministers and families who are not limited to one per year), and do not apply when special rates are stated in the programme.
Substitutions and transfers
We can’t allow substitutions as we often run a waiting list and therefore reserve the right to reallocate beds freed by cancellations. We don’t encourage transfers from one set of dates to another but we might consider them under special circumstances, if we have space. A one-off administration charge of £10.00 will be applied. Requests to transfer within 4 weeks of the start of a programme may incur cancellation fees.
Overseas visitors
If you are travelling from Africa and a visa is required before you enter the UK, Lee Abbey will require full payment at the time of booking. Our published cancellation charges will then be applied should you have to cancel your booking or fail to arrive.
Payment
We require a non-refundable deposit of £50.00 per person at the time of booking, or full fees if booking one month prior to arrival. You will be required to pay the outstanding balance a month before arrival. If you submit a booking request but we don't receive the deposit payment within 7 days, we will automatically cancel the booking.
Refunds and cancellations
If you wish to cancel your booking, we may refund a proportion of the full fees which are payable by you 1 month prior to arrival. If you cancel within 1 month of arrival and have not paid in full then we will invoice you for the outstanding amount. The amount we refund will then depend on how soon we receive your request to cancel prior to the date your booking was due to start. The amount we retain represents the reasonable cost to us of a cancelled booking.
- Earlier than 1 month before your booking starts — loss of deposit only
- Between 1 month and two weeks before your booking starts - we will refund 50% of the final balance of fees paid to us 1 month prior to arrival
- Between 2 weeks and 1 week before your booking starts — we will refund 25% of the final balance of fees paid to us 1 month prior to arrival
- Cancellation later than 1 week before your booking starts — no refund of the final balance of fees paid to us 1 month prior to arrival.
Disability access and special needs
We will always take all reasonably practical steps to accommodate people with a disability. Read more about what we can offer…
If you cannot climb stairs, you must tell us at the time of booking. We are unable to offer care ourselves, so it is essential that you bring your own carer if you will need this attention. We will offer a 10% discount on the full price of your room (proof may be required of their status as carer).
We aim at Lee Abbey to ensure the health and well-being of all our guests during their stay and will endeavour to do all that is reasonably practicable and within our control to achieve that aim. To that end we would respectfully request that any guest that has any need for assistance or action on our part due to allergies, mobility, hearing or sight impairment to make their needs known in writing, as well as on the registration form, to the Bookings Team at least 30 days prior to their visit. All such information will be treated in confidence. With regard to allergies, whilst every effort will be made to meet the individual needs of guests we cannot guarantee that Lee Abbey will be allergy free as there are too many variables over which we have no control. Sadly, we are not able to guarantee one-to-one support in any circumstances.
Meals and special diets
We cater for vegetarians and we also cater for any medically essential diets. You must indicate your needs at the time of booking.
