Landscape Painting

12–18 July 2021 (Mon–Sun)

As we grow an emerging perspective on the gift of creation, this week is an oasis opportunity to worship while we observe and record what we see within the utter beauty of the North Devon landscape.  Refocus your perspective on the Sovereign God of Creation who knows what is beyond the horizon and shows us how to engage with the foreground – integrating all that into meaningful composition.

Mark Turner, MA (RCA), has painted for over 40 years. He teaches a wide range of people at all levels and delights to see how people develop their own style.  Val taught art in Secondary schools for many years before ordination in 2000.  Together, from their small Retreat House, they minister to people seeking healing and direction and this often involves art.

Please bring your own preferred art materials.

Val has walked alongside many bereaved families and spends a large portion of her time training head teachers and their staff in how to journey the tragic circumstances that many children and their families find themselves in as a consequence of bereavement.
