John Irvine was a curate at Holy Trinity Brompton who later helped to develop the Alpha course (an introduction to Christian faith). He led HTB’s first church plant to St Barnabas, Kensington and served as Dean of Coventry Cathedral. He continues to mentor leaders, participate in church plants (near Brighton) and to serve as a Trustee of Ridley Hall, Cambridge and on the Wycliffe Hall Council. He is married to Andrea (who had her own journey to ordination) and they have four grown up children and six grandchildren. As a family they support Tottenham Hotspur.
