Dear Friends
I am delighted to let you know that Revd Gordon Crowther has been appointed as the next Warden of Lee Abbey Devon. He will be joined by his wife Judy and will move to Lee Abbey from South Africa, where he is currently responsible for the Church of the Holy Spirit and Associate Rector of the Parish of St John, Wynberg in the Diocese of Cape Town.
Before moving to South Africa, Gordon was a Mission Priest in the Diocese of Lichfield having served a curacy at St Thomas Lancaster and following training at Cranmer Hall, Durham. Judy is an educationalist and is currently submitting a doctoral thesis at the University of Cape Town.
We look forward to welcoming them to Devon and the wider Lee Abbey Movement and we give thanks to God for them. We give our thanks too for the Community in Devon and especially all who have taken on the responsibility of leadership under Barbara in the interim.
Do pray for Gordon and Judy, and all in Devon, as they move in over the next few weeks. We will communicate further when a date for Gordon’s licensing by +Robert has been finalised.
