Humans of Lee Abbey, Summer 2019

This Summer, our ‘Humans of Lee Abbey’ exhibition celebrated all that God was doing across this site. A photo gallery and video testimonies were collated which testified to God’s extraordinary transforming work in this place. We interviewed Guest Speakers, Camp Leaders, Guests, Community and our Pastoral Helpers, all of whom testified to God’s work in their lives here. Among them was Dave Hopwood, a regular speaker and past Community member who spoke of how God had ‘put his faith back together during his time on Community’, when he experienced the truth that he could be ‘brutally honest with God’. Grace, a leader on the Youth Camp spoke of how you can find God anywhere at Lee Abbey, but more than that, her testimony is that ‘God meets you here wherever you are at’. She spoke of how her heart had been broken by a deep bereavement of a loved one, and how she had been given the news while on Camp, but that God held her in this place and she experienced the healing power of Community.

Watch this Summer 2019 feature and be encouraged by these testimonies of transformation and encounter with God.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him” Psalm 34:8
