Youth Camp 2021 Update
Despite the proposed lifting of restrictions that have been announced by the government on 22nd February, there are still too many unknowns and different scenarios to plan and prepare for the summer camps with the very real risk that they could still be cancelled at the last minute.
Sadly, both Lee Abbey Devon and Lee Abbey Camp leaders have made the joint decision to cancel Lee Abbey Youth Camp, for the summer of 2021. This tough decision is due to the risks associated with the Covid-19 pandemic which we believe will make it unsafe and ineffective in fulfilling the purposes we all value.
We will, once again, look to provide a digital alternative for each of the Youth Camp, so look out for further information on this.
As a community we continue to pray regularly for the camp leaders and campers, so please be assured of our ongoing prayers at this time.
An amazing week to come explore the Christian faith through worship, creative teaching and seminars. Not to mention the fun and crazy games, crafts and space to be you!
If you’re looking for a brilliant escape during the summer holidays Lee Abbey Youth Camp (LAYC) is the place to be!
With opportunities to consider the Christian faith in new and creative ways, we hope that if you’ve never thought about God, or if you’ve called yourself a Christian for a long time, that you can take something from the week as we worship and spend time together.
With a programme full of sports, activities, crafts, messy games and time to chill out and enjoy the beauty of camp (the field overlooks the beach!!), we hope you’ll develop friendships and make new ones!
Camp has been a huge part of many people’s lives since it began in 1948 and we would love to welcome you in the summer!
Are you too old for LAYC? Then check out the The Field, for ages 18-30 which also runs at Lee Abbey during the summer.
