Bookings Update – ‘The Field’ & Youth Camp 2020
On Monday 16th March 2020 the UK government issued instructions that people should avoid all non-essential travel and contact with others to help curb Coronavirus. Since the 16th March, the UK government response has increased in restrictions, therefore we are closed until further notice.
Whilst The Field and Youth Camps are not until July / August, we simply cannot assume that we will be open, and therefore, as we would need to start booking the additional infrastructure now, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our summer youth programme that takes place on the camp field.
At this unprecedented time, the Coronavirus situation is having a significant impact on our income,
we would like you to prayerfully consider the following options that we are offering you in relation to your booking:
- Gift to Lee Abbey Devon all or part of the fees for your booking as a way of supporting us through this difficult time
- Transfer your booking to the house summer programme. We will offer existing bookings for the field and camp at the same rate for the respective camps, and in the unfortunate event that we are still closed due to COVID-19, you will be offered the full refund again.
- Receive a full refund
Please contact the office, preferably by e-mail bookings@leeabbey.org.uk, or if you have no access to email then by telephone 01598 752621, to let us know what you would like us to do about your booking.

If you’re looking for a brilliant escape during the summer holidays Lee Abbey Youth Camp (LAYC) is the place to be!
With opportunities to consider the Christian faith in new and creative ways, we hope that if you’ve never thought about God, or if you’ve called yourself a Christian for a long time, that you can take something from the week as we worship and spend time together.
With a programme full of sports, activities, crafts, messy games and time to chill out and enjoy the beauty of camp (the field overlooks the beach!!), we hope you’ll develop friendships and make new ones!
Camp has been a huge part of many people’s lives since it began in 1948 and we would love to welcome you in the summer!
Are you too old for LAYC? Then check out the The Field, for ages 18-30 which also runs at Lee Abbey during the summer.
