This is a significant appointment, for an ordained leader with a proven commitment to the renewal and mission of the Church in the world. Working in partnership with a core leadership team and reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Warden (who has normally been an Anglican priest) has overall responsibility for:

  • Leadership of the vibrant and dynamic international and ecumenical Community
  • Hospitality and ministry to our guests
  • Stewardship of Lee Abbey Devon and its stunning 280-acre estate
  • Developing links with the wider Church to inspire everyday faith

Over 8,000 guests are welcomed each year to the Conference, Retreat and Holiday Centre, the Beacon Activity Centre, and summer Youth Camps. Lee Abbey Devon is part of a wider network under the umbrella of the Lee Abbey Movement, communicating Christ through relationships nationally and globally.

Site visit will be held 6-9 January 2025 at Lee Abbey Devon, followed by an interview on 10 January 2025 in Bristol.
