Do you have experience in the environmental field and a desire to empower others and bring about change?
An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Co-ordinator at Lee Abbey Devon. This strategic role has evolved through a partnership between Lee Abbey and A Rocha (the Christian environmental charity). The role involves:
• Delivering greater environmental sustainability throughout the centre in key areas of waste, recycling and energy use.
• Teaching adults and children a Christian perspective on environmental issues and wildlife education.
• Advising on British wildlife for the management of the rich biodiversity of the estate.
The suitable applicant would be a motivated self-starter, able to multi-task effectively, initiate ideas and possess an ability to “learn on the job”. Good communication skills are essential. Successful applicants would be required to join the resident intentional Christian community and be committed to the aims and ethos of the organisation. Members of the community receive full board accommodation and an appropriate monthly allowance, rather than a traditional salary. Position for 2 years. Accommodation suitable to single people.
