Description
From earliest childhood Jesus grew in understanding about his identity and mission. Scripture was a formative influence in his life. In this book Chris directs our focus to the heart of the Old Testament texts, the book of Psalms, and explores how these Hebrew poems shaped Jesus’ consciousness and informed his understanding.
At first glance the idea of reading the psalms through the eyes of Jesus seems speculative and implausible. How can we possibly know, two millennia after the event, the impact this ancient collection of songs had upon him? Is it possible for us to get inside the mind of Jesus? With readings for 100 days this devotional guide invites the reader to explore each of the psalms and discover how Jesus might have read the psalms.
