The Jewish Gospel? Meeting God in Matthew

17–21 March 2025 (Mon–Fri)

How much do you know about the Gospel that opens the New Testament? Nothing that Matthew writes is there by accident, and we’ll be looking carefully at Matthew’s use of prophecy and Old Testament narratives. We’ll ask who Matthew was, and who he was writing for. We’ll look at some of the overlaps with the other three accounts, and also at the great significance of those parts of the Gospel that are unique to Matthew. Most of all, we will ask God to speak to us through Matthew so that we can share his deep understanding of the life, the love, the person and the power of Jesus.
