The In-between Time: Silent Retreat

2–6 June 2025 (Mon–Fri)

In the liminal space between Ascension and Pentecost, we will wait with the disciples as they leave their old world behind and stand on the threshold of the unknown. We will learn with them, reliving encounters with Jesus in Gospel stories and exploring biblical images of the Holy Spirit. In this silent retreat, we will use creative and ancient forms of prayer, such as imaginative contemplation, praying with art and Lectio Divina, as we watch for the newness God will bring about in the space.

Who's speaking?

Margaret Warne

Margaret is passionate about creative prayer and silent retreats, and loves to help others to meet God in this way! She was previously a member of the community at Lee Abbey Devon, and also established and led the Lee Abbey Small Missional Community in Ford Plymouth, where she was involved in replanting a church.
