Renew, Refresh, Resource – Accessible Light

28–30 October 2022 (Fri–Sun)

These Lee Abbey’s ‘Renew, Refresh, Resource’ weekends are designed for everyone. Whether Christian or not yet, come as an individual, couple, small or large group, ministry team, community or whole church, to this beautiful house and 280 acre estate on the edge of Exmoor. We invite you into our Community to encounter God and deepen your relationship with Him. Through our simple hospitality, worship, teaching and prayer, find the space you need to be renewed, refreshed and resourced.

This weekend, Lee Abbey Associate Community facilitators Martin and Christine Swindlehurst will bring the programme ‘Accessible Light’. This seeks to shine the light of Christ into the darkness at a time when others may be celebrating Halloween.

Who's speaking?

Christine and Martin Swindlehurst

Christine is a retired Vicar and Area Dean in the Diocese of Southwark. She has 18 years of experience in parish ministry and is also a qualified Ignatian Spiritual Director. Martin is a retired BT Senior Manager with extensive people management, coaching and mentoring skills. He also has experience as an advisor with a charity in Kent which supports victims of domestic abuse. Together they run Accessible Light: leading quiet days and retreats and offering prayer ministry.

Lee Abbey Team

The Lee Abbey Team includes experienced pastors and speakers, and offers creative ways to think afresh about what it means to be the church in the world today; they will work with individuals, groups and churches to help maximise your time away.
