Notes from a Good Place

17–21 November 2025 (Mon–Fri)

Our lives can be full of notes – music and tales which express who we are and the wonders and struggles we face each day. Dave and Simeon will draw us into their stories, and invite us to share our own, as we enter Advent and all that the coming season holds.
These two have been friends for over 30 years and share a passion for communicating the Christian story in creative and engaging ways. Come and be excited by the Bible, amazed by stories of faith, and enthralled once again by the Father’s love.

Who's speaking?

Dave Hopwood

Author of several books, including ‘The Bloke's Bible’, Dave is a freelance Bible communicator dedicated to bringing the message within the Bible to anyone and everyone using contemporary media and relevant language.

Simeon Wood

Simeon is a highly sought after musician of international repute, as both a performer and composer. He enjoys performing all over the world - playing on an ever-increasing array of instruments and objects! But at the very heart of his work is the desire to communicate the mysteries and wonders of the Christian faith through the music and humour that weave through all his shows. His work as an itinerant musician has led him to performing in extraordinary venues, from caves to castles, palaces to giant redwood forests, as well as the more conventional festivals, cruise ships, theatres, prisons, schools and churches. His compositions appear on many TV programmes and recently his playing could be heard accompanying Mr Bean!
