A summer family week looking at the amazing actions you can take to change the way we think and act when it comes to our beautiful planet. This week will be all about practical engagement: from making nest boxes for birds through to finding out the ten most amazing things you can do as families to change the world for the better! We will be joined by award winning writer and broadcaster Dominic Couzens.
Andy Lester is Head of Conservation for the Christian charity A Rocha UK. Andy has two degrees in ecology and green economics. He is also local chair for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, writes regularly for three newspapers as Environment Correspondent for South Atlantic News Group and and two UK papers. Andy regularly speaks on environment and climate issues; and features frequently on Premier Radio, UCB and has also appeared on the BBC. Andy is married with four boys and lives near the New Forest National Park in Hampshire. In his spare time he teaches kick-boxing, plays the flute and leads UK wildlife tours and walks as well as being a long standing friend of Lee Abbey.
Dominic Couzens is one of Britain's best-known writers on birds and wildlife, having produced numerous books, including "The Secret Lives of Garden Birds" and "Britain's Mammals", and hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles over a 25 year career. He also leads field trips at home and abroad. As a Christian (married to a vicar) his motto is to "sing for joy at the work of God's hands
