HINENI: HERE I AM – SILENT RETREAT

23–27 January 2023 (Mon–Fri)

“Where are you?” asked God in Eden. What is our response to His question? Do we hide like Adam and Eve, or do we reply, “Hineni” (meaning “Here I am”)? Sometimes we are the ones asking God, “Where are you?” Through silence and creative forms of prayer and reflection, we will spend time becoming present to God and letting ourselves be seen by Him. We will look at some transformative Hineni turning points in the Bible and explore both the question and the response in our own lives, so that we can follow Jesus with renewed trust and devotion.

Who's speaking?

Margaret Warne

Margaret is leader of the newly established Lee Abbey Small Missional Community in Ford Plymouth, a group of people committed to living, praying and growing in discipleship together as they seek to bring the love and light of Christ to the area of Ford. She was previously a member of the community at Lee Abbey Devon, where she served on both the Beacon and pastoral teams.
