Half Term Families Week

21–25 February 2022 (Mon–Fri)

This week there will be a full programme of activities for adults, children and families. Each day will start with all age worship, followed by a programme of fun activities, teaching, discovery, crafts and games for all young people until lunch time.

This will run alongside the adult teaching programme run by Pete and Kath Atkins who will explore how to discover your personal call and to enter the future with God. Sessions will consider how to be free from cultural compromises, reframing our minds and hearts to follow the Holy Spirit, and understanding a future and relational church and the mission of God in it – plus some useful disciplines to help in these.

During the afternoons there will be opportunities to explore the estate and local area, partake in Beacon activities (for over 8s) including archery, climbing wall and low ropes, or simply enjoying the time and space away together.

Who's speaking?

Lee Abbey Team

The Lee Abbey Team includes experienced pastors and speakers, and offers creative ways to think afresh about what it means to be the church in the world today; they will work with individuals, groups and churches to help maximise your time away.

Pete and Kath Atkins

Pete and Kath Atkins - have lived in Lincolnshire since 1979. Pete was a GP in a rural practice before retiring to devote more time to enabling missional activity across Lincolnshire and the UK. They were involved in both Anglican and Methodist churches before planting a church called Threshold, part of the Ground Level Network. In the 90’s they developed a church planting strategy for ‘the Humber to the Wash’. They have been part of the Fresh Expressions team and were significant in helping to develop the 'Mission Shaped Ministry' course, a one-year course training leaders for pioneering missional work, which is now offered internationally through Fresh Expressions
