Grandparenting for Faith

18–22 May 2026 (Mon–Fri)

Grandparents, and grandparent figures, have a unique and particular part to play in God’s plan for children and young people’s discipleship.

But grandparenting looks different for all of us. Every family is unique – every grandparent or grandparent figure is unique – and it can feel hard to know how to get started or share faith confidently.

In our week together, we will be exploring what God says about grandparents and – whatever your circumstances – give you practical skills and tools to help you actively share God with the children and young people in your life, whether that’s in your family or in your church.

Who's speaking?

Becky Sedgwick and Kate Irvine

Becky Sedgwick is the author of ‘Grandparenting for Faith’ (BRF Ministries 2024), and with her colleague Kate Irvine works as part of the team at Parenting for Faith. Both Kate and Becky bring years of experience working in church children’s, youth and families work and speak regularly to grandparents and the grandparent generation. Kate lives in the Cotswolds and Becky in Wiltshire, and both love being at Lee Abbey!
