ESTATE WORKING PARTY – TREE PLANTING

26 Feb–1 Mar 2024 (Mon–Fri)

Come and help create some history by joining us to plant the first new woodland at Lee Abbey for fifty years. Working on steep slopes and on uneven ground we will plant a mix of Native trees to increase the area of our Atlantic woodland. You will be working in small teams that will plant trees and put on tree guards. Don’t worry, you won’t actually have to dig the holes! There are 1800 trees to plant over 1.8 Ha so the more people the better! You will be assured of great fellowship and have a sense of achievement knowing you’ve made a difference for generations to come. You’ll work roughly 5 hours each day but as a bonus you get a reduced rate along with the late afternoons and evenings free for a satisfying rest. Please bring suitable clothing including stout footwear and waterproofs.

If you are unsure whether you could manage this sort of work, please phone before booking.
