a fresh encounter with god

18–22 July 2022 (Mon–Fri)

‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’. Jeremiah29:11

The bible is full of people who encountered the presence, power and revelation of God, never to be the same again. In these uncertain and trying days, God’s heart is always to take us to a place of peace and hope, to look forward with Him, the giver of life.

The word  encounter can have various meanings, one of those being to meet someone face to face. There is a longing in God’s heart to meet with us face to face – through His word and by His Holy Spirit. When we have an encounter with God, something happens on the inside. When God speaks to us, when He touches us by His Spirit, it’s not going to be business as usual – we will be changed from the inside out – from one degree of glory to another. We cannot have an encounter with God and remain the same.

During our time together we will look at how different people encountered God throughout scripture, and in so doing we will seek to meet God face to face through the revelation of His word and the power of His Spirit, never to be the same again.

Who's speaking?

Paul and Liz Lynch

Paul has been married to Liz for over 40 years and trained at Moorlands Bible College. He was ordained into the ministry in 1986 and since then they have pastored three churches in Barnstaple, Bournemouth, and Amersham, but after 35 years of local church ministry they are now leading a ministry to the wider church: Encounter – Heart to Heart. Together their passion is to bring the heart of God to the heart of the people. They have three children; Hannah who has gone before them to heaven, and  Craig and Pauline who live nearby. They also have four cheeky granddaughters who keep them busy.
