“I missed working for a Christian company and being a part of a Christian community, so when joining Lee Abbey was suggested to me by my Mum, it really appealed to me. She had heard about it from my Aunt who was a guest here many years ago.
“From there, I looked up Lee Abbey from the website and researched more about Lee Abbey life and it’s values. I also wanted to grow in my skills and new things which I can use in the future, which I have done in the kitchen work that I did, and then now working in the Personnel (HR) office.
“The regular rhythms of prayer and worship at Lee Abbey have helped me to be able to keep my focus on God and make sure I set some time aside each day to focus on Him. With the regular rhythm of each day, it has helped me keep up with my daily bible readings. It’s been great to hear other people’s perspectives on bible passages and have biblical discussions around the table that I can learn from. The opportunity to pray together with friends and others in community is a part of the fellowship I really enjoy and feel encouraged by.
“Lee Abbey is a great place to grow in one’s faith and closer to God. Also, a great way to challenge oneself and learn new skills that I can carry forward later on in life. I would definitely recommend Lee Abbey to others!”
